Each year from November 15 through December 31, providers of Medicare Part D benefits revise and update their plans.  Beneficiaries are urged to review their current plan as changes may severely impact their prescription drug costs.  Nevada Medicare State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) provides free, unbiased information to help make the critical decisions affecting your Medicare Part D coverage. 

SHIP is offering FREE Workshops to assist enrollees or their caregivers as they utilize the Medicare.gov Part D computer tool.  SHIP will also be offering one-on-one counseling for Medicare enrollees or their caregivers at many Senior Centers, Senior Residences and Hospitals throughout Clark County.  For locations in Northern Nevada, please contact 877-328-2205.

To compare your present coverage to available plans for 2010, you will need to bring:

1.   Your Medicare Card

 

2.   Your present Prescription (Part D) Insurance Card or Medicare Advantage Card

 

3.   A complete list of all prescription medications you are now taking, including;

a.   Name of Medication

b.   Dosage size

c.   Number of doses per month
(if you cannot prepare a list, you may bring your medication bottles with you)
